What is it like to fly in to Mexico City? (MEX Airport)?

I'm flying into Mexico City on business this month. Have you ever done this before? What is it like to go through customs, get your bags, get a taxi, etc...?

LIKE ANY OTHER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, YOU LAND, GO THROUGH CUSTUMS, HASTLES S, AS ANY OTHER, JUST WHEN YOU GET A CAB, MAKE SURE IS YELLOW AND WHITE, JUST TELL WHERE YOU ARE GOING, YOU BUY THE TICKET TO THE CB BEFORE LEAVING CUSTUMS. YOULL BE FINE.

Never flown into Mexico city but have flown into other locations in Mexico.  The only bad part of customs is the long long longgggggg lines . You wait in line once called you go up to them and they check your passport and on your merry way you go unless when you push the button and get  a red light that means they will check your bags.Supposed to be a random check. Green you walk thru red you get checked. Try to get to the carousel as quickly as possible don't stop for drinks your bag could get "lost". The taxi part --->> if you are staying in a hotel there you should call the hotel in advance and ask them what the fare will be. That way you wont be cheated. Before you get into taxi ask the guy how much and compare to the price given by the hotel. If it is way higher move on. Knowing a bit of spanish never hurts. Have a mexiday!!!!!!!!

flying to mexico is a wonderful experience. if you have an option, i would recommend you to fly in at night time. customs and transportations are not a problem. just make sure that you have pesos and you take small bills so that they can provide you with change. i hope you have a fun time. mexico, DF is beautiful.
