  1. There are lots of differences. Language is one. English is not the main language in most of the countries of Latin America, with a few exceptions (Jamaica, Belize, Guyana and some Caribbean islands). The weather will be generally warmer except for southern Chile and Argentina (and in the Andes mountains). The median income in Latin America varies from lower than the USA to WAY lower than the USA. You'll see a lot more poverty, dirt roads, rundown buildings, nasty bathrooms, undrinkable water, etc. than in the USA. The cost of living is usually lower, sometimes a lot lower.

There is a lot of variation in what is called Latin America. I am retired and live in Costa Rica. It's not as poor as most of it's neighboring countries. The water is good and most of the public services are adequate most of the time. Outside the cities it is a lovely country with beautiful nature. The people are generally polite and helpful. There is a fair amount of poverty though, so there is also a lot of theft. I'm happy here but it's not for everyone.

  2. First, I don't care if you like to call America to your country, but when talking about it and another countries, please refer to it as the United States.

Well, to Begin with, the US is wealthier and has a higher HDI. Then, besides Argentina and Uruguay (maybe these have even more), it has a larger white population than most Latin American countries. Then, it is more populous and bigger in extension. Nothing more comes to my mind right now.

  3. in Latin America they are more friendlier more family orientated.less money but know how to smile more.in America there rich not always that friendlier and you get to see the lifestyle more in Latin America.if u get what i mean?

  4. well first of all united states and canada have more money than the latinamerican countries, latinamericans speak romance languages specially spanish and i think latinamerican people aren't that cold (problaby the weather has a lot to be with)

  5. In Latin America lots of things that are completly unacceptable are totally ok here, I mean, we know that they are not right, not people give a little s* about them, e.g. kids can stay in their parents home until they're like 25 or 30 and it's just ok for the society. And here, a blond half-famous model could say stuff like stuff like "****** little girls must be killed when they are born or accept to be discriminated when they grow up" in national TV and nobody would care at all, I saw that show only once and that was it, no repetition, no repercussions because that is just common, the model is very famous now and people don't remember her words cause it just does not matter. A clear example is alfred-something answer, you didn't ask anything about races, did you? well, alfred something is probably Argentine, just like me, but he is so proud of his belief of there not being dark people in Argentina that he just had to say it!
