What is it like to snowboard?

when you snowboard why is it better then skiing?

first time snowboarding....

PAINFUL

AGONIZING

FRUSTRATING

...but!  after you get used to falling and can manage to stay on the board, its sooo much funner.

i've been skiing for 11 years and last winter my cousin taught me how to snowboard, for me snow boarding is easier to learn (but that may be b/c i can't remember when i learned how to ski since i was 3) but i enjoy skiing more because im much better at it...but i must say snowboarders are hotter =]

Its like waterboarding, but colder.

i switched to boarding at the age of 16 when i had been skiing since i was 4.

i like boarding cuz it flows better and feels more natural.  its also easier to advance your skills to do tricks and harder terrain faster.

i just like it a little better overall... except when it comes to mogals and speed.
