Question:

What is it like to swim in deep water in the swimming pool?

I am taking swimming lessons and at the end of the lesson i am going to have to dive into the deep end of the pool. I want to be prepared.

  1. That depends on what you're doing. If you're going underwater it's not very comfortable. You can feel the pressure of the water against your eardrums, but you should be fine.

    Treading water is easy. You just have to make you don't exhale completely - keep your chest expanded and use your abs to inhale and exhale. Also paddle with your arms and legs to stay afloat.


  2. It's the same way you just really have to work to touch the bottom of the pool. That and you can dive into it too.

  3. at our rec center i jumped into the diving pool for the first time [at 12] and eventually went on the high one [50 ft high] so when i did it it felt like being in the normal height you just work harder

  4. well, the first time I dive in a deep pool I was a bit scared.  But when I dive it it felt...cool and when I went too deep my ears kinda hurt though.  I dunno but  once you get use to it, you'll love the deep end bettder than shallow
