  1. I know taking even a short trip, 3 hours, can be an ordeal. There's always a squalling baby and a person who needs a bath! If you're planning a longer trip take an express. They have fewer stops and seem to be better equipped. Air conditioning and restrooms. It also always seems like the bus stations are either in the worst part of town or out in the middle of nowhere! The last long trip I made was from Philadelphia to Norfolk VA, never again, unless it's a charter. Personally, I'd rather drive the distance, so I can stop and see what looks interesting.

  2. well i once took a trip to washington D.C. which is about 500 miles away... it was maybe a ten hour ride but we made some stops... it was on a bus but not greyhound it was called Buckingham.. maybe you've heard of it.. it was a class trip so it was fun being surrounded by your friends... if you're going alone it might be kind of boring

  4. I once took Greyhound from San Antonio, Texas to FT Benning, Georgia, which was about 931 miles (14 hours).  I will tell you that I will never, ever use Greyhound for a long distance trip although short distances are fine.  Some of the weirdest people that I've ever seen were on that bus.  In fact, the guy sitting behind me was dressed from head to toe in plastic garbage bags and another guy's eyes were bugging out of his head and he was sweating profusely even though it was cool.  I was so paranoid that I sat right behind the bus driver the whole way.  I also felt extremely grubby when I arrived at my destination.  It felt like the longest journey of my life.

  5. It really sucks.  I went from Sacramento to Oklahoma City and all I saw was mountains, desert and bums.  Boring.
