Question:

What is it like to work on a non profit org?

well, i just encountered an environmental org who offers a good deal of salary and at the same time am interested on working for our nature.. the only thing w/c keeps me is the idea of them being an activists.who works almost i guess for long hours and is always busy going to different far places..at the same time, am a shy person..pls help

  1. It is a great experience for a shy person if you want to get out of your shell. It is very rewarding although a bit time consuming and  sometimes you won't have the outcomes you hope for. You should go for it if you can, it will be a nice experience.

I worked as a Wish Coordinator for an org. that grants wishes to kids with life-threatening illnesses.  The pay was horrible, but the rewards were incredible.  Unfortunately, I had to leave the org. because I could no longer live off of the pay.  However, the things I accomplished there were priceless!!!
