  1. It has its good and bad (goods outweigh the bad). Bad- You have no set classroom so you have to go whereever they tell you to go. You will eventually deal with ALL the kids at some point, and you will find that there is an age group that you do not like to work with (for me is 2 yr. olds).

Good- you have no set classroom, so your job will never get boring. You being trained to work with kids of all ages (great for your resume), you will be in classrooms (depending on schedule) where it may be naptime so all you have to do is make sure the ones who don't sleep are laying quietly on their mat (give them a book or something).

If you're new to daycare settings, I will tell you a secret. If you'd like to someday work in the office of the childcare center (and you do not have a degree in childcare), the next best position is the Cook. That person gets to cover the front desk when needed, and you're running/maintaining your own work space, no one breathing down your back, and you get to leave no later than 3.
