  1. Lincoln is basically saying that the only way for the U.S to remain free is if they refrain from fighting each other. It is similar to saying "United we stand; Divided we fall"


  2. I dont really know. i think it would be that nothing is going to harm us now like it would have a long time ago and if we do something stupid its our own fault. im just guessing.

  3. It means that we should hang on to our right to freedom and never give in to losing it because the moment we lose our freedom we lose that which makes us individuals... and if we are no longer individuals we have nothing left for ourselves!
