  1. It's hard. Depending on what setting you work in, and exactly what your role is, you could be working long hours, in a fast environment. Don't listen to anyone who says it's an easy option to work in a Nursery! There's always something going on, whether it's a child needing their clothes changed, rushing to get a notepad and pen because one of them doing something you've never seen them do before, or trying to distract some pre-teen 3 year old who's about to kick off! It's an amazing, hectic, mad, and hopefully happy place to work, but if you don't feel a bit stressed or frazzled by the end of the day, you're not pulling your weight as part of the team.

  2. Hard work, exhausting and low paid. However, it is also rewarding, satisfying and great fun.

There is a lot of paperwork these days (too much for the pay given), but the children make it all worthwhile. They learn so much at this age, and give so much back to you.

  3. Great but can be low paid & low status for all the studing you have to do.

  4. You should try volunteering at a hospital to know if this is what you want to do.

  5. Yes volunteer first to see if that is what you really want to do.
