What is it that defines being a sentient being, at what point will we acknowledge intelligence of our making ?

If we create a creature that is capable of the human responses of, Love, Pain etc.. do we become Gods in the process ?

Sentient means "has senses".   That's it.  Every creature--and even some plants--are sentient to some degree.

Sentience has nothing to do with love, pain etc.

As soon as a machine deploys an initiative, anything at all, it was not programmed to do, it will have to be considered alive.
