  1. tramadol is a non narcotic painkiller.

  2. tramadol is the substance considered a synthetic narcotic analgesic. It has weaker analgesic effects than most opiates yet besides working on opioid receptors alone as conventional painkillers do, it releases serotonin as well causing a better mood in moderate and up doses. 150-200mg starting out should be euphoric.

  3. Ultracet is used to treat moderate to severe pain for a period of five days or less. It contains two pain-relieving agents. Tramadol, known technically as an opioid analgesic, is a narcotic pain reliever. Acetaminophen is the active ingredient in the over-the-counter pain remedy Tylenol.

  4. It's a much weaker opioid analgesic than vicodin or darvocet, and has low recreational value because taken at what most people would consider fun doses, it can cause convulsions. Much better for treatment of pain than a night of fun.

Stick to pot or other relatively harmless drugs. Not to be rude, but if you're not willing to take the step to thoroughly research anything before taking it and wondering why it doesn't get you high, you could end up dead. Irresponsible stoners give responsible psychonauts a bad reputation, and I'd like it very much if you didn't die. Who knows, you might invent the new best club drug someday or find the ultimate trip.  So please be safe. :)

  5. Tramadol is an agonist of different opioid receptors in the central nervous system and the effects are not necessarily similar to other opioids such as oxycodone or hydrocodone.  They won't get you "high" but they will have a moderate opiate effect.  Nevertheless, you would have to take so much that the amount of paracetamol you ingest could cause damage to your liver (37.5 mg tramadol / 375 mg APAP!)
