  1. You could have Googled this and gone to Wikipedia, like I did.  The state:  

    "Skunks have two glands, one on either side of the a**s, that produce a mixture of sulfur-containing chemicals (methyl and butyl thiols(mercaptans)"  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk
