What is it with black hair, that most people have it?

If others with a different colour of hair tanned themselves right, would they prefer their hair, black too?

Hair color adds up to the personality of a person, you can observe if a wheatish skined person has white hair will you heart fully accept that person. hence black is universally great.

Black hair is a dominant trait, much like dark eyes, widow's peak hairline etc, so there is more chance of an increasing number of black haired people in a mixed population.

It is probably because a large amount of the world's population is from warmer equatorial areas (better environment for life) that there is a lot of black hair around.

I don't think so, the western 'hot babe' paradigm right now is a heavy tan and blond hair.

'Classic black' is the original hair colour from Africa, for some reason nearly all of the other mutations for hair colour seem to come from Europe (except aborigine blond). For some reason black is the only hair colour mutation native to African soil.

Dark hair is a naturally dominate trait, so not everyone with black hair has dyed their hair. Being tan doesn't mean you should dye your hair either. I personally like light colored hair. People need to be different.

Not sure I understand the question, but if your asking why so many dye their hair black...I think it's just part of their style. If your asking why so many are born with black hair, I don't think that is necessarily true, it depends on what part of the world you are in. Hair color is much like skin color and body shape. It's all based on the environment.

hair color, as well as skin color, has been decided by genetics from the time the first man walked upright. depending on which part of the earth your ancestors settled in, you would've gotten not much sun (like Norway or Anchorage, Alaska) or a heck of a lot of it, (like Sudan or Nairobi). The amount of sun in your environment dictates your skin pigmentation as well as hair color. the darker, the more protection it offers from the sun. light skin people aren't made for too much sun, that's why they burn easily. it's the body's signal to get in the shade. dark skin people like michael jordan, can pretty much bask in the sun all day without much damage to their health. it's the same with hair.

these days however, in the age of air travel and south for the winter, hair color doesn't account for much. so go ahead, color your hair whatever hue you prefer. as long as you think you look good, other people can't do anything.

I'm not really sure what you mean, but people's personal preference as far as hair color varies from person to person. Skin color has little to do with hair color, as every ethnicity has people with naturally black hair. Actually "black" hair is really just the darkest shade of brown.

There is not really a 'dominant' color, there is a little thing called eumelanin, the more you have in your hair, the darker it will be.
