Why do all babies love them above all else? My daughter is 7 mths has lots of toys but that's all she wants! My son was the same. Lol.

Do you let your bubs play with them? I let my son play with my mobile when he was a baby (he's nearly 4 now) and he dribbled all over it and it never worked again!

  1. HAHAHA, my son LOVES them too!!!!!! My husband actually started giving our son an old cell phone that isn't being used anymore. Sometimes he'll play with it but a lot of the time he won't and my husband thinks it's because it doesn't light up the way ours do. We've actually even thought of going any buying toy remotes and phones but I don't know if he'll like them as much! I let him play with the remote, I just make sure he doesn't put it in his mouth. If he changes the channel, I just switch it back.

  2. I let my oldest play with my phone when she was a baby and she of course broke it with all the drooling on it. I always thought it was the the buttons and light that attracted them to the phone.

  3. they are amazed at the colors and they love to gnaw on these things, they also watch what we do with these objects and find it interesting. go out and buy your baby a play cell phone and watch her work, make sure it is one that lights up and makes noises, you'll be glad you did, trust me. and better yet you won't listen to bubbles when pick up your phone, lol!

  4. My son has been obsessed with both.  He is 2 now and if I would let him he would never play with anything but the remote.  I have tried giving him one with no batteries, but, if it doesn't change the tv channel, he doesn't want it.  I don't know why, but, everyone says their kids love them too.  I don't let my son play with our remote because he does stuff to the tv and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it.  His grandma lets him play with hers and he has learned where all the buttons are to get it to do what he wants.  If it doesn't bother you, let him play with it, but, be careful, my son put her remote in the microwave and blew it up.  He loves the microwave too, loves the buttons! LOL.  It cost her $50 to replace it.  Good Luck.

  5. It's the beeps!! My son loved my phone too, especially the ringtone When the Saints go Marching in. I still remember his little feet kicking to the tune!

I let my son play with mine, He slobbered all over it, but it never did stop working. I figure if it can't shock him, burn him, or cause any bodily harm he can explore it. I think it's great for motor and cognitive skills. If it can hurt him, or if it's precious to me (like my grandma's things) then they're out of his reach.
