What is kingscross, sydney like?

I'm hoping to get a job as either a bartender or waitress at a strip club in Sydney and heard Kings Cross is the best place to look. Anyone know what that areas like and if it would be the best place to try? thanks.

seeedy...let's just say it's not a good place if you looking for some family fun... but if your looking for a job like that theirs heaps of night clubs, bars and pubs and stuff but it' probably not the best place to start if you don't know the area... try some different parts of the city...

i dont think that you will get a job in any strip club  in kingsx.because they dont advertised it.most jobs are given to a mates.but if you apply as a stripper then you have a chances.plus you must get a license as a bartender.as waitress,the strip club does not offer foods as restaurant.only grog .your best bet is outside kings x.

How that place is like during the day is very different to how it is at night. During the day, it may look fine and all that but there are many drug dealers in this area.

Kings Cross is known to all of Sydney for being the major 'red-light' district with many strip clubs and prostitutes.

For an average person like me, I'd avoid going there at night but if you love night life, then that is the place to go.

Sydney Morning Herald ( Sydney Paper) might be good start to trying to find a job or seek.com they both generally advertise jobs of that nature. Kings Cross does have the reputation of being the place to go in you want to expiernce the "nastier" side of life but really there are strip clubs all over the city.

mate, kings cross is reknown for its drugginess and drunks, and prostitutes

if you want to be working at a strip club then anywhere in the ciity is the way to go

but if you want to just purely work as a bartender or waitress then go work somewhere more safe and more in the suburbs

where abouts you coming from, like do you live in australia already? or coming from overseas?
