  1. Lactic acid is acid in your legs that make them feel sore and numb after you run hard. It usually gets built up after a tiring workout. its that burning feeling you get in your legs during and after a workout.

    to get rid of it, don't put strain on your muscles. don't do something like sprinting at the end of a workout or something. Also it is crucial to stretch BEFORE AND AFTER a workout. Take at least 20 seconds per stretch. drink plenty of water, and don't run a hard workout every day. You have to run a hard workout, and run a recovery, easy workout on the next day in order for your musclse to get rid of the lactic acid.  


  2. Lactic acid is removed from your muscles as soon as fully oxygenated blood returns to the muscle.  You may still be sore, but it's not from lactic acid.

  3. My coach told us that a slow cool down run can help and also when we were at camp we went swimming to reduce it.

  4. when you burn too much sugar thats when you get sore afterwards.  the best way to get over that is when you work out too much and your sore afterwards don't just sit around get up and take nice slow jog or a nice long easy walk that will burn off that extra sugar that is making you sore. You will totally feel the difference.

  5. Hi Lactic acid Does not make you stiff or sore (Remember that) LA is produced as waste. The stiffness and sore muscles come from micro tears in the muscle that's why you get better and less sore after say a week or two. LA will always produce even if you are extremely fit.

  6. Ok Ive seen this at the olympics, do a lactic hang. Lay flat on your back and put your legs against a flat wall, so your body will look like an L. It works it you do it for about 10 mins.

    You get rid of it by, eating healthy, recovery right, getting enough sleep, and stretching your muscles.

    Do you sometimes feel sore in your cavles and stuff? Yeah thats lactic acid, and stretching will help get rid of it.
