Decrease in carrying capacity of land due natural or human intervention is called land degradation.

Nowadays,mechanicalequipments,and chemical fertilizers are used at a large scale.

Besides,due to running water and winds,soil

particles are transported.

It results in decrease in the quality and productivity of soil.

The quality of soil decreases.Such condition of land is called land degradation.
