  1. Lecithinase C (same as phospholipase C) is an enzyme that catalyzes the removal of the nitrogenous base of lecithin (substrate) to produce the base and a phosphatidic acid (products).

    lecithanase + = Clostridium species, ; C. welchii and C. oedematiens β- and γ- toxins all have phospholipase C activity.
