I have an anthropology assignment in which i have to state how women and men differ in their communication styles. Then, i have to classify the differences as kinesic, phonological, grammatical, or lexical.

help!

what does lexical mean?

And if u have any differences between men and women communication styles in mind let me know.

  1. Your lexicon is basically your word list, the words you know and use. The best way to explain the differences between male and female lexicons within your own environment is how male groups and female groups use their language. In Australia it is generally only men who use the word "mate" and only use it to refer to other men. Women can and do use it too, but that is just the rule.
