What is life like being in the air force?

can u tell me how basic tranning is and could i go to the air force and get a doctorate degree

Basic training is a joke, Some Staff or Tech that got bullied around in life and career will yell at you for 6 weeks by week 4 its boring.  If you cant pass it physically dont bother with anything else.  Yes you can get a Doc.  Good luck dealing with this place for that long to pay it off.

Also watch the news our branch is soo good our two top dogs got fired cause they were playing the political game instead of nuclear security. not for one problem but about 6 nuclear related ones in 1 year.

life in the air force is actually not a bad life..and although it is true as the person above me stated they did recently fire two of the top people in the air force..its too make it better..things had gotten lax the last few years...and hopefully it will go back to the way it was..not everyone is cut out to live up to high standards and even though the last few years the standards have gotten lax...they are still kicking people out who cannot and will not live up to them....you can go to school while you serve..lots of people do this...if you are considering the military..i believe the air force is one of the easier to continue your education while serving..my husband has gotten his bs and made it so far to E8...its really the only life we have known...
