  1. If all you want to do is eat sleep and work long days.  You make a boat load of money.  Everyone starts out at the bottom.  To get to the top you have to start at the bottom.  The work days are long, but the hardest thing is getting along with everyone out there.  You live with the people you work with, so it can be difficult.  Good luck

  2. All the grub you can eat,but you got to get on with people, its a little bit like the forces in the old days, hard work, eat and sleep.

  3. How long can you hold your breath?

  4. Noisy and smelly, and the food's a bit greasy!

  5. Great food, and high pay. It can be some pretty hard 12 hour shifts at times, but when you're not setting up or breaking down the thing, it's not bad. Everybody but the engineers starts at the bottom. It's the only way to get to know all aspects of the job.

  6. Dangerous and lonely but big bucks if you can do it, good luck!!

  7. oily

  8. In the long run, you'd do better in the merchant marines, if you're looking for a job that's also a lifestyle.

If you're looking to work hard and get paid, being a roustabout ain't bad. 12 hr. days, lots of food, and good opportunities once your feet are in the door.

  9. No, you just have to keep pumping away. Usually, your efforts will be rewarded.
