I am thinking about becoming one and I was just wondering if anyone has any information on what the job and training is actually like.

  1. I don't know what the training is like. I do know, however, from one experience of dealing with Canadian border services officers in 1997, that there are openings for pasty-faced, smirking, young lazy butts on the Canadian border.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Their training is more like cops that you'd be taught some self-defence techniques, arresting criminals and interrogation as well as thorough investigation procedures etc. Its not only a well-paid but also a responsible job coz its all about defending your own country Canada from any illegal tresspassers or even terrorist at the border crossing. I think, you should consider this job very seriously. Its worth it.
