Is it a good city to live in? Is it easy to find a job? Are the people really nice? And be honest is there a lot of racism? That's a big factor for me since my kids are half black and would have to go to school there I don't want them to have to deal with ignorant people

  1. Boulder is one of the best places to live in the US, there are hiking trails and ski resorts nearby, the flatirons (rock formation), with wildlife (deer and more), and great schools. I've been living my whole life in Boulder and I've never heard a racial remark or seen anyone do anything to a person of a different color. One bad thing about Boulder is that it isn't very diverse (mostly white) however there is no discrimination what so ever. Also if you're into sports we have a major college football team in Boulder, and a professional football, hockey, and basketball team in nearby denver. Also Boulder has a long history as it was founded in 1858. There are many other features of Boulder you can read about on this website.

  2. I grew up in Boulder and graduated from CU Boulder, is it a good city?  Yes and No.  Are the people nice? Not for the most part.  There is alot of wealthy people there, and alot of self-righteousness.  Racist?  Boulder?  No, it the most liberal place Ive ever lived.  You cant get noticed a being different in Boulder unless you have two heads and spit rattlesnakes.  Half black will not be an issue I PROMISE!  Boulders nickname in Colorado is "The peoples republic of Boulder" the city has a culture very much its own, and depending on what you like, it can be a good or bad thing.  The other answerer gave a very detailed info on the city, so I wont repeat whats already been stated, I just wanted to throw my opinion in.  PS-If you do move tune your radio to 97.3 and leave it there, its Boulders own radio station and its fantastic.

  3. The peoples republic of Boulder is full of radical, wacko, leftist, tree hugging, pukes.  They don't want you to move there.  That's why the price of real estate there is ridiculous.  The city council actually wasted taxpayer time and money to vote to impeach President Bush.  Like anyone gives a c**p about what Boulder thinks.  Boulder is a beautiful city with lots to do, but the people make the place unbearable.  If you're a young liberal with lots of money, it's just the place for you.

  4. Boulder is a nice city with good schools and lots to do. It is known as an expensive place to live though, and the schools may not have the diversity that a bigger city like Denver would have. Jobs may or may not be easy to find depending on what field you are looking for, but it is a decent size city with surrounding areas so there should be decent opportunities. Here is a city page with some general info, good luck!

  5. You need to go there and make your own decision.  I have found Boulder, CO to be the MOST European and Cosmopolitan town in the entire U.S.... all thanks to the University and the culture there..
