What is $$$ limitation taking cash out of USA (to Germany)?

There is NO limit on the amount of cash you can bring either out of the US or into Germany - BUT if you have more than USD 10,000 (or equivalent in foreign currency) you are required to declare it when you leave the US.  When travelling to Germany, you must declare if you have more than 15,000 Euros cash (or equivalent in other currencies).

The same as the $$$ limitation for bringing cash into the USA.  $10,000.  But anyone traveling with that much cash could run into some serious issues at both the departing and arriving airports.  I strongly suggest that you don't travel with more than $500 cash and $2,000 in travelers checks.  Then if you want more money when in Germany, use an ATM or do a wire transfer.
