What is luteal phase.?

i have been trying to concieve a year and i have studied when i ovulate but im unsure what they mean when they say luteal phase.

can someone explain please.

just to let you know my periods are always regular every 30 days.

and tell me how i check what mine is???

Luteal phase is the time between ovulation and your period. Also known as the 2 week wait, after ovulation. It is about 2 weeks give or take a few days.
