I made a planter a couple months ago and am growing some peppers in it. There are some mushrooms growing in a couple parts of the box. Does anybody know what's making them grow there, and if it's bad that they are there? Also, should I make sure they don't touch the pepper plants, or especially the peppers themselves?

  1. Excess moisture is helping the mushrooms grow.  Drill a few more holes or whatever you have to do to get the soil a little drier and the mushrooms will give up.  Your Peppers will appreciate not being waterlogged as well.

  2. It wont harm the peppers, but unless you are sure of the mushrooms don't eat them,(the mushrooms) as they may be poisonous.

  3. next year treat the box with a fungicide

  4. mmmmm shrooms, do they have a gold top on them, if so, enjoy.

  5. Rotting,damp wood.
