  1. its very busy and its very hard to find parking space so if you have a car and you are travelling with it id advise you to go a bit more earlier to find a space to parking with out getting a fine. GOOD LUCK :)

  2. Manchester's nice. Some parts are quiet and some parts aren't. There's lots going on though.

  3. manchester is busy and has a good nightlife and shops

like any other major city in england there can be trouble

  4. Manchester is like any big city It has  its good bits and bad bits

but on the whole its a good City.

  5. Forget Manchester.

  6. Manchester is a dirty place with a poor night life and high levels of crime when compared with Newcastle.

  7. I wouldn't bother with either, try Oxford or Cambridge.

Both leave a lot to be desired just watch the documentaries & wasn't it newcastle where the chinese couple were battered to death recently! I would give them both a miss.

  8. Amazing absolutely the best city in the country!!! In my totally biased opinion!!!

Depending on when the last time you visited it is a very modern and cool place to be right now but I,m sure you knew that anyway!!

But if you want a little more insight have a good nosey around this website and make your own assumption.

  9. sure both would be great

I live near manchester and love it lots to do from live music to greyhounds to the curry mile

However and i say this seriously the student population has the worst record for drinking which may not be condusive to your studies

Otherwise its  a great place buzzing alive and with high and low culture in bucket loads

  10. A dirty scruffy sh*t hole full of drunks and ne,er do wells. I know, I have to b well live there.

  11. Tough one.  I went to Manchester University and I thought they were a  bunch of profiteering good for nothings.  The city is a bit minging as well, but if all you want to do is go out and get drunk on cheap booze then I can recommend Manchester for that.  As long as you stick to the student areas and keep in the company of other students its OK but the locals will want to beat you up if they think you're from the south and it's generally a bit dingy and depressing as a city.
