Unfortunately my friend had a miscarriage. She received the autopsy for the baby but we still don't know what happened

  1. I am not really sure what it is and can't find anything for that particular topic.  Perfusion means the delivery of nutrient rich blood to tissues (thus keeping them alive).  Vascular deals with blood vessels.  This makes me think that for some reason enough blood was not getting to the baby from the mother by not transferring (perfusion) the mother's (maternal) nutrient rich blood through arteries (vascular) to the baby.  This would not allow the baby to receive the nutrients it needed to grow through, probably, the umbilical cord, which is just made up for two arteries and a vein and is the way the baby gets what it needs to survive.  So sorry for your friend and hope for the best for her.
