  1. First reading did not make much sense except that the small and mid-cap stocks too did very well on the last day of 2007. The abbreviations like F&O, T, B2 made me to dig deeper.

    F&O expands to the  Futures and Options segment, which indicates the way the stock price would move in the future and the traders bets on it.

    F refers to the Fixed income securities.

    G includes all governmental securities for retail investors

    Z indicates the stocks  which are in the bad books of the BSE Authority

    T would mean the stocks which need to be settled on the same day as it was traded. Others can be settled in T+1 or T+2 or T+3 days.

    B1 and B2 would be clubbed as S and S would also include those trading in the regional exchanges with capital from 3 to 30 crores.

    This leaves out “A” which  even I am not too sure of..

    But what I am sure is that there is a lot to unearth and learn in this area.
