  1. happiness is when you are fulfilled and do not want anything more in your life

  2. Happiness means SATISFACTION. You are happy only when you are satisfied.

    You are satisfied when your expectations are fulfilled.

    Your expectations are fulfilled when you don't have unreasonable expectations.

    So don't make unreasonable expectations from this world and yourself and you will be a Happy person !

    Moreover...if you try to fulfil other's unreasonable expectations then also you will become unhappy.

  3. The desire for God is written in the human heart, because we are created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw us to himself. Only in God will we find the truth and happiness we never stop searching for.

    Happiness needs to be understood and felt deep inside

    Happiness is Life.!!! - THANKS.

  6. For me, happiness is something that comes from within and not from outside me. It is something I had to find within myself when others disappointed or hurt me (intentionally or unintentionally).

    I used to look to others for happiness and one day it dawned upon me that most of the people I was looking for happiness from, did not have it to give me.

    The smiley face is a universal symbol of happiness.Happiness is an emotion associated with feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense joy.

    A variety of philosophical, religious, psychological and biological approaches have been taken to defining happiness and identifying its sources.

    Philosophers and religious thinkers have often defined happiness in terms of living a good life, or flourishing, rather than simply as an emotion. Happiness in this older sense was used to translate the Greek Eudaimonia, and is still used in virtue ethics. In everyday speech today, however, terms such as well-being or quality of life are usually used signify the classical meaning and happiness is reserved for the felt experience or experiences that philosophers historically called pleasure.

    For the video game, see Sadness (video game).

    For the word sad, see SAD (disambiguation).

    "The Wounded Angel" by Hugo SimbergSadness is an emotion characterized by feelings of disadvantage, loss, and helplessness. When sad, people often become quiet, less energetic, and withdrawn. Sadness is considered to be the opposite of happiness, and is similar to the emotions of sorrow, grief, misery, and melancholy. The philosopher Baruch Spinoza defined sadness as the “transfer of a person from a large perfection to a smaller one.”

    Sadness can be viewed as a temporary lowering of mood (feeling blue), whereas clinical depression is characterized by a persistent and intense lowered mood, as well as disruption to one's ability to function in day to day matters.

  9.   Strange question(have you never bin happy?).

      Anyway,as millions of poeple worldwide have read the book "The story of my life" written by that american heroine helen Keller;

    In it she tells of her utmost joy-and-happiness at learning a language.

    (most of you should know of this,for her book/lifestory has been study material for a lot of schoolchildren here!).

    And it made ME happy to realise-fairly recently-that i think that she had what could be called a (Popper-ian,see work done by karl Popper)CRITICAL happiness;i realised this when i read that she "denied" and initially "rejected"all her college and so-called mature academic language!

    That she did this is unmistakable i now think is certain;it can be seen initially in her own words in her book above.And i think and truly believe that had she known about and had been "exposed-to"(as its commonly-but-not-precisely referred to!) Sir karl's work-at that time too-then she could have written about lots of stuff with a lot more Insight(even probably more than she had then)and,by chance,dare i say it,even more happiness and long lasting joy.

    We will never know of course;but she will always be a true (happy) heroine to me,and lots of others,nevertheless.

  10. Does Happiness depend upon comfort? ’

    The answer is definitely a big, ‘No! ’

    Happiness lies in not comforts alone!

    Happiness is not a static quality of the human mind, body and soul.

    All can’t remain happy all the time.

    It would be foolishness to wish for a life, filled with happiness alone;

    Happiness is more when woes come in-between.

    Happiness is just a feeling weird!

    Life could become boring and monotonous, when happiness is prolonged.

    Even the pauper can be happier than the prince.

    Even the beggar smiles and sleeps well, despite much strife.

    Happiness is a frame of mind that’s dynamic in nature;

    Happiness is a kind of mood of feeling very well;

    Happiness is a state of one, when life seems worth living;

    Happiness is something strange that varies with time, experience and wisdom.

    Happiness is all within;

    Happiness is in giving;

    Happiness is in sharing;

    Happiness is the ceiling, whatever you fix!

    Happiness does not wholly depend on comforts;

    Happiness cannot be bought by money;

    Happiness is not all luxury;

    Happiness is abstract to the core!

    Happiness is in being child-like, though adult;

    Happiness is in making and seeing the less fortunate ones, smile;

    Happiness is in acting adult-like, although a child

    Happiness is in giving something to someone, although you still need it.

    Happiness is in sacrificing for others’ sake;

    Happiness is in giving up your chance to someone, who most needs it;

    Happiness is in doing acts of charity;

    Happiness is when you’ve led a righteous life.

    Happiness to some is in dreams alone;

    Happiness to some doing risky feats;

    Happiness to a few is in a sheer lazy life;

    Happiness to some is in yeoman service to mankind.

    Happiness is a phenomenon;

    Happiness is a quirk of fate;

    Happiness is quite rare and scarce at times;

    Happiness to some is in living in a virtual world!

    Happiness is in braving the storms of life;

    Happiness is in toiling for others’ sakes;

    Happiness is in sharing your talents and ken;

    Happiness is in loving your poor brethren.
