Paypal is a medium through which you can do transactions with any one without using your credit card or without disclosing your credit card number.

It acts as a bank between you and the person to whom you have to pay money or from whom you have to get money.

When you have to buy something on the internet you can use paypal service to give the money to the seller.

You just have to get yourself registered with paypal. You can make payment to paypal using your credit card and paypal makes the payment to the seller.  So the seller doesnot get your credit card number.

paypal is a payment service that you can use on the internet. instead of using your credit card number on shopping sites, you can register your credit card number with paypal and use paypal account on shopping sites. so all the shopping sites would not have your credit card number (increases safety of ur cc number)

not all sites accept paypal payments, just check before you shop.

and you can receive payments also using paypal if you are a merchant.
