  1. Youth don't appreciate the benefits of youth when they are young and don't realize this until they are older and no longer have those benefits.

    ^^ three lines (well four including this one)

  2. It means that young people have everything going for them physically; they're in the best health they will ever be in; their minds are sharp and clear BUT they lack patience, understanding and wisdom which results in so much wasted effort.

    Whereas someone who's lived and learn now knows what to do with all that ability of the body but now doesn't have the body to do it with! Another way of putting that saying is; "If I could go back to (whatever age you like) and if I knew then what I know now, life would be wonderful"

    All the best :)

  3. i think it means that the adults and elders would give anything to go back to their youth stage and be more productive about everything rather than waste their lives away like they probably did berore, but now our youths are just making the same reoccurring mistake; not treasuring our youth.

    im not sure tho. is this opinion based?

  4. The Young take advantage of their Youth, They wanna grow up so fast that they don't know how to just chill out and enjoy being Young.

  5. It means while we are young we don't appreciate all we have; young bodies, young minds, young spirits, etc; etc;

    When we get older all those things start to disappear and theres no getting it back.

  6. It means that the young are to immature to really appreciate being young and the older generation would really know how to appreciate and take advantage of being young again.

    Hope this helps!

  7. 8. the exact meaning for that line is , ppl generally in their teenage tend to be careless so they do not commit themselves to bring out proper results, so in this case if we give them a fresh project or a new work and if they spoil the hopes,then we call it "youth is wasted on young"

  9. In youth, we have the energy, but it is mostly spent on short-lived pleasures.

    As we grow older, we realize there are a lot more things which would have been really worthwhile, but in the older age, we do not have enough energy to go about our "New Found Wisdom".

    I am not sure that it was Albert Einstein or GB Shaw who sighed upon discovering that there are so many more meaningful things to do in life, and no energy to.

    I believe the verbatim is "Why must youth be wasted on the young?"

    I believe it is a reverse proportion equation of Sense and Strength.

  10. I think it means that while we are young we take everything for granted, we don`t recognize or enjoy in the things that really matter in life, nor do we take the chances that are in front of us, thinking and saying that there will be time for it later on. That`s why the older people say that, because they know now what they`ve missed and what they could of done while being young.
