What is meant by small, medium, large, websites?

I'm researching hosting possibilities and I am seeing a lot of things like "perfect for small-medium websites". What does "small" or "medium" mean in terms of GB used, and bandwidth used?

small site is like a portfolio or business ad site showing ur services and thats about it, medium site inorporates a database of some sort, a webgallery, a blog wrapped up in one "site" on the hosting... large sites are corporate sites like deviantart.com that get billions of pageviews a day... a medium site could also be a forum with 10 to 50 users, large 50 up to 300 or 400, those utilize large database space...

u just have to know what u will be doing with the host in the future, is it for a small site? a forum? how many members are u expecting? etc.

then look at the hosting company's options... large sites could mean more databases available to you, more bandwidth, more storage space, more emails, etc.
