Pls tell in an understandable way because I have tried to research about it. But it's too complicated to understand.

  1. a series of events may seem random, but eventually a pattern emerges. there are several ways to approach this theory, so there are several fundamentally different descriptions.

this is the easiest way to think about it, and i think its the way the creator of chaos theory described it.

"A butterfly flapping its wings could a typhoon half a world away."

  2. In simplest terms any natural system in order has an inevitability to result in disorder.

  3. Lets say you have a simple system such as two pendulums suspended from a horizontal wire. Give one of the pendulums a push. After a while both pendulums will be moving but its impossible to predict in detail where they will be. Chaos theory tells us that tiny changes in the initial conditions (ie the size and direction of the initial push) will make large changes in the systems behaviour at a later time. No matter how hard you try to reproduce those initial conditions the ultimate result will be unpredictable.

  4. there r just 2 many factors that can come into play that life becomes unpredictable. k, if u r driving and u get into an accident, that is a result of all the events b4 and is a cause 4 all events 2 follow. if u had left 1 minute earlier or later, it would all change. and thats a real simple example. :o)

check out "run lola run" its a cool film and its based on the timing of events in our lives, and how an alteration of a moment can change everything.

edit: yeah, like Move On said.... :oP

woah! a thumbs down :o( guess i made it 2 simple

guess i'll just go find someone who wants 2 know if i think that they're pretty :oP

  5. Chaos theory is the theory of systems whose evolution is very sensitive to initial conditions. For such systems (such as weather patterns), and arbitrarily small change at one point in time will cause a change in outcome that grows exponentially with time. This renders such systems incapable of being accurately predicted very far into the future. Instead, only general trends and recurring patterns (such as seasons) can be inferred.

  6. That anything natural cannot be predicted for long. Soon enough the natural object will behave in a slightly diferent way than it should and that u have predicted. This has a knock on effect with everything else  and the other factors and plunges your theory into chaos. This is because there is so many tiny complications in a system that the behaviour of the system may act surprisingly different.

  7. That is right it is extremely complicated.

Chaos theory is a theory that says that in complex systems you cannot account for all factors.

the most widely used example is the butterfly that flaps its wings in alaska which causes a chain of events that causes typhoon in Japan.

Small bits come together and effect large complex systems in ways we could never account for.

Or the example from Jurassic Park, where you bet on where a drop of water placed on you hand will fall. You cannot know where it will go because of all the tiny imperfections in the skin and how the molecules of water interact with those imperfections.

It is a theory that deals with very large systems, climate, space, and extremely small systems, molecular level stuff.
