  1. The oceans don't stop being salty - ie: the ocean isn't going to become freshwater.


  2. Oceans always have and will have salt because the rocks coral,etc, have a saltness flavor so the ocean has salt naturally.

  3. Just as there is a carbon cycle in the atmosphere so, too, there is a salt cycle in the oceans.  There are processes that input salts into the ocean and there are processes that remove salts from the oceans.  In general there is an equilibrium value of dissolved salts that is maintained.

  4. that the percentage of salt remains fairly constant.
