  1. Measurement is finding out the value of something.

    It could be the pressure of water in a pipe, the density of a material, the temperature of something or the distance to the moon.

    Measurements are taken against previously established scales, such as psi for pressure, lbs/ft3 for density, Degrees Celsius for temperature, metre for distance.
