My 50 just started acting up on me. one day I can ride it around town, have plenty of zip (45mph) and starts everytime. Next time I use it, It starts OK, but after about a mile at 30-35 mph it will just go dead. The starter will turn and the lights work (just put a new battery in) but there is no fire. I carry a BIG chain and padlock with me always, so when this happens, I chain it up and hoof it back home to get my truck. By the time I get back to the bike (about 30 minutes) it starts right up! Sometimes it will run a mile or so and do it all over again. Got any ideas (and don't say get rid of it and drive the truck lol.)

  1. Gas cap may not be venting.

The weed eater digg's show stupidity.

  2. Have you over filled it much  sounds like a gas cap venting  problem. There may be a ball   valve near were    the draining around the fuel opening is . By pass the valve see if that fixes it. The  valve will rattle when shaken. Also make sure your not pinching a vacuum line in there. Which model do you have.

  3. Once and a while you gotta replace the string on the cutting head.
