My husband does some auto repairs at our home, and a vehicle has been abandoned after work was completed with no payment. We have tried contacting via phone #'s, but disconnected, and address is a dead end. The vehicle has been sitting for weeks on end, and we really can use some ideas on collections.

Contact a lien service in your area. They fill out forms for you with a demand for payment amount. They will contact or try to contact all parties (including any lienholders). If there is no response, you will receive paperwork to file for a new title under your name. After that, you can sell the vehicle.
