  1. Exactly what it says - the density of pedestrains.  It's a method of describing the number of people (on foot) within a certain area.  Couldn't tell you how to "work it out", you normally have to monitor a particular area.

  2. The Destiny of Pedestrians.

  3. What is MEANT by "ment"?

  4. the no of people whose daily mode of transport is walking per unit area. find out the total no of such people in that region and divide that by its area. It might show the development in that region and how far people have to travel daily.

  5. People per square metre in a given location.

  6. pedestrian counts are done regularly in various locations , especially in town centres to derive at number of pedestrians passing a point . the flow at various times would be counted so a density could be arrived .Retail outlets commercial premises  find them useful to assses if a location is viable or sometimes for advertising locations , levels of surface maintenance required or recommended surface texture or even surfacing to be provided .You know passing pedestrians mean people calling in for a coffee sandwich buy something .
