im doing a essay on the poem porphyria's lover by robert browning and i need to no what that line suggests?

  1. Maybe it means "God is not helping, yet".


  2. Without knowing the rest of the poem, I would say it's that something really bad has happened in the world and God has done nothing about it (i.e. "God has not said a word").

  3. i haven't read the poem, but it looks like its saying he's condoning whatever is going on. As if he hasn't had any objections to it yet.

  4. To me the quote means that a lot of individuals want us to believe what they believe but God has not told us himself.
