What is merchanable lumber. No, I don't mean merchantable...?

  1. That word occurs in a number of sites I found by searching, but its use and the way it was used seemed to be identical to merchantable.  It may be that merchanable refers to wood still attached to the ground that could be merchantable if harvested.
