What is minimum amount to set up a trust for a child?

We want to set up a trust for our adult but slightly irresponsible daughter after we die. What is the minimum amount for such a trust to be handled by a financial institution?

It depends on where you go.  Some institutions may require no minimum deposit, while others may require you to open it with $50.  Your best bet would be to call around.
