What is minimum wage? In vancouver?

Hey, I've submitted a resume to this diner and I really want to work there! I asked a waitress if she could pass it on to the boss (who wasn't there at that time) and she said yeah sure! I also asked her how much they pay and she told me 8 dollars an hour.

Isn't minimum wage 8.75?

What can I do?

If he doesnt hire me can I say I can report you because you underpay? lol

If the waitstaff keeps the tips the business is not obligated to pay minimum wage.
