  1. This is more of a lyrical piece, but lyrical and modern are very similar.  Modern dance is a little less flowy, and is considered pretty interpretive.  It also has much less of a focus on technique.  It's all about free movement.  For instance, rather than point your toes every time you extend your leg, you might flex your foot and bend your knee for something different.  Lyrical is a combination of ballet and jazz, and tends to flow from one step to another.  Modern dance is usually performed barefoot, and in very conservative, fitted costumes.  The focus is on the movements, not on the costume being worn.  A modern dance can be performed to almost any song.  Take a look at this video in comparison to the one you have on here.  Hope my explanation helps!

  2. Yes, its basically the same as that. Its like ballet but more lyrical.
