  1. A thick brown sugar that is produced in the refining of sugar.  Brown sugar is white sugar with molasses added.


  2. it is a thick dark syrup produced by sugar refining of either cane or beet sugar.Fermented sugar cane molasses produces Rum. Fermented beet-sugar molasses produces  Ethyl Alcohol.

  3. Molasses, sometimes also called treacle, is a by-product of the sugar refining process.  Sugar cane juice is boiled down until the sugar crystallizes.  When the crystals are removed, molasses is what's left over.
