we are planning to remodel the master bathroom in our house and weren't sure if we should keep the his/hers sink set up or just make it a single sink and have much more counter space. we don't particularly care for the his/hers set up but if it would be a great selling feature, we'd keep it.

  1. For a master bath it is best to have two sinks. Most couples share this bath and that is what is the norm.

  2. Keep the double sinks! That is a huge factor in a buyers eye. Just modernize the sinks and vanity instead of down sizing to one sink.

  3. For selling purposes...keep the double sinks. They are in fashion and will a good selling point. Just because you don't particularly care for them, others may.

  4. I would definitely keep the double sinks.  I even have them in my guest bathrooms.  Most people are looking for that amenity and particularly in a master so I wouldn't take it out.  Do you have room in your remodel to put in a larger counter or separate counters?  Separate counters give you much more space if you can do them.

  5. Keep it!

It is in the larger high end  new homes and alot of people prefer it

  6. I just sold my 10 year old house and my master bath had one sink because I planned it that way. I got comments when selling it that there weren't two sinks in the master bath, so I'd definitely put two in for resale value.

  7. I would keep it!  I can't imagine having to share with my husband again!
