  1. I like just me and my husband going or with our kids.I wouldnt like going with friends and having to decide what to do, and where to eat all the time.

I like asking my husband, who normally says "whatever you wanna do" or my kids...course they're happy doing anything and eating at McD's...yucky lol

  2. With friends, you have someone to talk to and if you break down on the road your not alone.

  3. With friends would be more enjoyable if you want company.

Alone could also be possible , if you need the choice to be left alone.

  4. Having done both, I was going to say both are enjoyable for different reasons.  -Ah, oh, I guess I just did.

But I am inclined to stick up for traveling alone as few people are pointing out the advantages of that.  Traveling alone you meet more people as you are more approachable, or you actually are more likely to take the effort to chat with interesting people.  When with Friends you are normally chatting with them and lose half those opportunities.

Traveling alone you are also able to do what you want, when you want, stress free and not compromising or worrying/negotiating/communicating what other people want to do which might totally conflict with how you feel.  You get things like you want to do something but your friends taste are different, or they can't afford to do stuff, etc.

However traveling with friends, especially if you find travel friends with very close likes and habits to yours, can be quite fun.  It is more memorable as you will have shared the experience and reminisce about it for years.  It can be cheaper especially when sharing expenses like gas and accommodation.

Like I said, I have done both, but I did one long and far from home trip where a friend traveled with me the first half, but had to go to work and I didn't so continued on by myself.  The whole trip was fun, but the alone part was more peaceful, stress free and I met a lot more people from around the world.

  5. friends beacuse it is more fun da

  6. I have travelled alone and with friends.

Travelling with friends can be fun. You won't feel lonely because they're around, which can be reassuring, especially in a foreign environment.

However, travelling alone will allow you to talk more to the locals, which will make your trip more memorable.

Whenever I travel alone, locals approach me more easily -- in a café, in the street, anywhere really. This happens a lot less when I'm with friends.
