What is more important, the reason for the trip or the means to get back home?

If you were sent on a trip, which is most important? The reason for the trip or the way to get back home?

We were all sent here for a reason, and a way to get back home. Is the reason more import than the means by which we get home? Or is the means by which we get home more important than the reason for the trip?

The reason is more important for me, until the trip is over, then its the way to get back home.

If the means to get back home is most important then why bother to make the trip to start with?

We all make trips for some purposes. There is no trips that garuentee a mean home and there are always risk. Home is just a reference point that you would like to fall back from time to time.
