What is more painful: Giving Birth (using Epidural) or running a 100-mile ultramarathon?

Just wondering for references with what my wife is going through.

um, i've nevere given birth... but i have ran and trained for a 26.2 mile marathon and that pain was horrible, soo 100 miles must be 4 times as worse.

if i had to guess about the same but 100 miles, even just walking, is painful-er

I'd say your chances of finding someone who has done both is essentially nil.

If you want those kinds of details, take her to childbirth classes and you'll both learn a lot.  But, understand, a man cannot fathom the ordeal of childbirth no matter how much we "learn" about it.

i never gave birth but from what i've seen, i'll take the marathon any day over birth!
