What is most inspiring to teachers?

I am looking for innovative and creative ways to inspire teachers. Any ideas?

I agree with Andrew S if you bring back former students that will do it. I recently changed my accounting major to teaching and called one of my high school teachers and she was so happy.

Teachers usually feel unappreciated and overworked.  A simple compliment about a lesson, or a small "thank you" gift at the end of the year means a lot to them.  Also, dropping in to their classroom years later to say hello inspires them.

The most inspiring thing to most teachers is when the student is struggling to figure out something and then has that "lightbulb" moment and says, "Oh, now I get it."

bring back former students that are doing well for themselves.  That should do it!
